簡要說明

雷神飛機公司有員工約9000人，總部位于堪薩斯州的Wichita，主要業務是設計和生產商務噴氣機、渦槳發動機飛機、活塞發動機飛機和軍用教練機并提供相關服務。1993年，雷神公司從英宇航收購了聯合噴氣飛機公司(生產Hawker中型噴氣機)并更名為雷神聯合噴氣飛機公司。一年后，雷神又兼并了具有60多年歷史的Beech飛機公司(1932年成立)，組建了現在的雷神飛機公司。

比奇1900是雙發渦輪螺旋槳的19座支線飛機，由雷神公司下屬的比奇飛機公司（現豪客比奇）研發生產，它主要設計于支線飛機，也可作為運輸機。

比奇1900 在1982年9月3日進行首次飛行。1983年，美國聯邦航空局（FAA）根據特別聯邦航空條例41C條款的適航標準頒布航空器適航證。跟1900一樣，1900C也是根據特別聯邦航空條例的41C條款頒布適航證的，但是之后的1900D卻根據聯邦航空條例標準取得適航證的。

比奇1900在1984年2月開始服役，1985年交付的第一家企業是 ExecLiner公司。比奇1900一共生產了695架，它也成為了世上最暢銷的19座客機。雷神公司在2002年10月停止生產比奇1900，至今任有許多航線仍由1900執勤。
