萊格賽500飛機選用了霍尼韋爾新型HTF 7500E發動機。該發動機融合了最新技術，使效能得到改善，可滿足各種性能要求，包括提高燃油利用率、簡化維護程序、降低運營成本和減少噪音污染等，進而減輕飛機對環境的影響。在同級別飛機中，這兩款飛機將擁有最快的飛行速度，而且將配備其它飛機所沒有的先進的全電傳操縱系統，該系統不僅可以減輕飛行員的工作負荷并降低燃油消耗，還能夠提高飛行安全性和乘坐舒適度。
