2009款三菱Eclipse Spyder相比舊款車型重新設計了前后保險杠、車身以及一個全新的雙出式排氣系統，鷹眼式大燈給車前臉帶來整體上的犀利風格，也對提高了夜間行駛的可見度。這款車采用的是軟頂敞篷設計，可在19秒內打開或關閉。

內飾部分，這款車采用織物面料，運動座椅非常舒適而且對駕駛者有很好的支撐，同時帶有電動的高度和腰部調節功能，在轉向時還能提供橫向支撐。GS車型更采用豪華真皮面料內飾和鋁合金踏板。此外，三菱對車輛的改進還包括大尺寸通風制動盤、HID氙氣大燈、ABS防抱死系統、EBD制動力分配系統和車身穩定控制系統等。

動力方面，GT版搭載的是3.8升V6發動機，最大功率265馬力，峰值扭矩可達355牛米，與之相匹配的是6擋手動變速箱，帶有換擋撥片的5擋手自一體Sportronic變速箱則作為選裝配置。不僅如此，這款車還配備了ASC主動穩定控制系統，提高了行車的安全性能，同時保障了駕駛者自身的安全。
