英國Mini改裝專家-Works-改裝廠推出一款以Mini Cooper S為基礎的運動型Mini，新車命名為Mini Cooper S Works。新車擁有200匹馬力，百公里時速加速只需6.5秒，極速約226公里/小時。

據悉，因為獲得寶馬原廠的認可，Works版的Mini可以獲得與原廠Mini完全相同的售后服務待遇。而已經擁有Cooper S的車主也可以將車交由Works進行改裝，費用在英國當地約為3500英鎊左右。改裝內容包括新引擎蓋，更有力的機械增壓器和新的排氣管，當然還有一套特別的車身Works徽章。另據Works的申明，如果顧客需要，新車可以改到240匹。而240匹版本的外觀仍則未最后落實。另外

寶馬于2003年底特律車展將一輛特別制作的240匹超級Mini贈送給F1寶馬Williams車隊的一級方程式車手Juan Pablo Montoya，以表彰其在去年比賽中取得第三名的杰出表現。
