德國改裝廠Carlsson早在2008款奔馳SL500上市之前已經著手對其進行改裝了。而改裝后的CK50性能指標幾乎可以和旗艦版本的奔馳SL63相媲美。不僅如此，為了與升級后的強悍性能相匹配，這款車的外觀也進行了改款，用戶也可以根據自己的喜好選擇內飾的風格。

Carlsson將新款CK50的5.5升V8發動機的輸出功率提高至436馬力，扭矩提高到600牛米。如此強勁的動力足以使CK50在5.1秒之內從靜止加速到時速100公里，最高時速可達293公里。如果這樣的性能表現仍不能令那些追求極致性能的用戶滿意，卡爾森還針對搭載V12發動機的SL600開發了新的性能升級組件，使其最大功率提高到700馬力，峰值扭矩達到1100牛米。
