Camaro ZL1敞篷車是雪佛蘭在2011年秋季發布的新車。與硬頂版車型相同，這款車采用了更為激進的前臉設計風格，發動機蓋上帶有通風導管，車身周圍極具侵略性的大尺寸包圍使霸氣十足。ZL1的車身結構經過強化，在前區增加了X形撐架結構，后區則增加了V形結構，傳動軸通道得以加強，發動機蓋下兩個前懸掛軸套之間架設了一根堅固的防傾桿，這一切都是為了在缺少車頂的前提下確保車身剛性，使敞篷版擁有與硬頂版相當的操控性和安全性。

ZL1敞篷版的動力同樣由6.2升機械增壓V8發動機提供，最大功率580馬力，峰值扭矩為754牛米，這也使其成為雪佛蘭有史以來最強勁的敞篷車。此外，這款車還配備了MRC電磁懸掛系統、高性能牽引力管理系統和高性能制動等系統。
