整車外觀上有一定的改變，前臉和車尾部分的設計更加精致，車身方面全系S系列都采用了輕量化的設計，多達20%的鋁制材質讓車身重量控制在2噸以內，人機交換系統則依舊采用奧迪MMI系統，

底盤方面，全系S車型都采用了經過改進之后的空氣懸掛，在高速運行時車身高度可以降低10毫米以提高車輛的行駛穩定性和操控性。駕駛系統上，S系列增加了S運動模式。在運動模式下，整車對踏板的反應靈敏度、轉向靈敏度上都有所改變。

最大功率輸出為420牛米，最大扭矩表現為550牛米，奧迪S6百公里時速加速時間為4.8秒，安全極速下最高車速為250公里/小時。新動力采用了自動啟停技術，同時增加了斷缸技術，在低速時采用四缸運行，高速時才釋放全部氣缸。
