薩博推出的2008年版中型9-7X的 Aero變形版SUV車款，該車裝配了更加強大的動力配置——通用V8引擎。

對薩博汽車有所了解的車迷朋友一定對“Aero”不太陌生，薩博的眾多車型中大多會推出“Aero”版本，“Aero”代表著薩博同一車型中的高性能版，此次推出的9-7X Aero同樣如此。

該車最大的特色就是裝配了Corvette 車款中常見的6升LS2 V8引擎，最大馬力可達390馬力,最大扭矩可達542牛米,百公里時速加速時間在6秒以內。9-7X Aero版的引擎還特有一個混合入風模式，據通用公司稱這是薩博特有的。

限量版車款還配置了20英寸鋁合金車輪，獨一無二的珊瑚紅色金屬噴漆，真皮車座以及印有Aero 標志的地毯。

薩博在車輛穩定性和適應性方面也加大了投入力度。薩博9-7X Aero采用可降底盤設計，以便適應多種路面狀況。同時將前穩定桿的直徑加大10%來提高對車身側傾的控制。另外在后輪還配有電子差速器，可以有效防止輪胎打滑。 薩博9－7X Aero起售價為45690美元。
