為了給入門級賽事新選擇，豐田賽車部門TMG(Toyota Motorsport GmbH)，發布了專為入門汽車賽事設計的GT86 CS-V3賽車，并且價格也相對合理，為38500歐元，約合人民幣30萬元。

豐田推出的后驅雙座跑車GT86，從上市后就受到很多追求汽車性能的車迷們的歡迎，并成為許多汽車賽事的參賽用車，像D1 GP漂移賽和紐博格林24小時耐力賽，都可見到GT86的身影。

GT86 CS-V3賽車，是以V3 Class規范所打造的賽車，發動機方面換裝了競技用的排氣系統，最大功率比民用版略有增加（民用版為200馬力），但86賽車對底盤做了強化處理，并優化了車身配重，強化了底盤懸掛和剎車系統，讓86賽車能夠有更好的操控表現。

GT86賽車的駕駛艙部分基本維持量產車的原樣，但拆除了音響和空調這樣的舒適裝備，換上桶型賽車椅、多點式安全帶及防滾架這樣的安全裝備。

GT86 CS-V3不僅符合VLN Series V3 Class的技術規范，同時也符合歐洲地區許多賽事規則，購入后可直接投入比賽。
