邁巴赫Zeppelin DS8是現存的邁巴赫老爺車中最著名的一款車。車的頂篷及兩側可以完全降下，從而可以作為游行車或閱兵車使用。這款車最初配備的是Type 12大排氣量V12發動機，是今天新一代Type 12的遠祖，也是當時最早量產化的12缸發動機。這款發動機來自于齊柏林飛船的推進發動機。1929年，邁巴赫調教了齊柏林飛船的發動機，搭載在Maybach 12，DS7和DS8車身上。

齊柏林“Zeppelin”車型的終極版本DS8是當時高層社會的頂尖名車，也是當時最有聲望的德國轎車。德國前國家主席豪斯先生以及美國前國務卿基辛格先生都曾使用過這款車。
