本田在2010年參加了超級GT大獎賽GT500級別的賽車車型，然而一款名為HSV-010 GT的車型亮相賽道讓車迷朋友們的熱情高漲。

造型方面，從前臉和尾部的設計上，都能看到些如今ACURA怪異風格的影子。因此，一旦投放市場，其造型也只是去掉那夸張的空力套件而已。

HSV-010 GT的車長為4610毫米，寬為2000毫米，軸距為2700毫米；依照賽車的輕量化思路制造，車體采用了碳纖維等輕量化材質打造，而車架則延續一代NSX的特點采用全鋁合金車架，從而使得整車的重量被控制在約1100-1200公斤的范圍。

動力方面，代號HR09E的3.4升V8 NA發動機將成為HSV-010 GT的驅動核心，與之匹配的是一款6速序列式自動變速器，整體的動力輸出預計在500馬力，最大扭矩表現為392牛米，這樣的動力配置和此前傳聞的V10發動機有所出入，不過已經達到超跑的基本水準。

最后，在整車的懸掛設計上，HSV-010 GT也依舊保持HONDA的特色，采用了前后雙A臂的設計?？梢哉f，綜合這些信息，也能明顯的了解到HONDA的意圖——HSV-010 GT就是二代NSX的賽車版。
