簡要說明	在外型上S60 CONCPET確實有些顛覆性的味道，比如其頭、尾燈的活潑造型，其無B柱的車門設計，都是很難在以往的VOLVO車型中見到的。內飾部分，源于瑞典海岸線靈感的設計，也是VOLVO陳規風格的突破。那條由VOLVO與瑞典知名的水晶玻璃品牌——Orrefors合作，共同打造出的水晶玻璃懸浮式中控臺設計，絕對是在現代汽車工業設計與制造中，能被寫入教科書的全新突破設計。而如此設計，也會局部運用到2010年到來的新一代S60量產版之上。安全部分，VOLVO S60 CONCEPT將FORD全新開發的碰撞預警系統，進行了首次展示。這套系統能幫助駕駛員有效的降低發生碰撞的幾率。另外，VOVLO最新的主動巡航控制系統，也在這款概念車的裝備之列。這兩套全新的系統，都將會在量產車型上得到應用。動力部分，S60 CONCEPT將裝配一款1.6升的GTDi汽油發動機，其最大功率輸出可達182馬力。在配合POWERSHIFT變速器、START-STOP系統的情況下，于"DRIVe"模式下，整車百公里油耗只有5升左右，二氧化碳排放量則為120克/公里。
