簡要說明	蘭博基尼Countach LP500S的推出是由于一場歐洲跑車速度大戰。當時法拉利推出了Boxer跑車，世界最快跑車的桂冠Countach LP400S被旁落，蘭博基尼自然也不能坐視不理。蘭博基尼嘗試在LP400S發動機上加裝渦輪，但是由于無法解決發動機冷卻問題而失敗。另外一條可解之路便是提升排量。于是，在1982年的日內瓦車展上，LP500S正式推出，它的外形與Countach LP400S相比基本沒有改動，只在發動機和車身材料上作了一定的調整，排量提升至5.0升，其最高車速可達300公里/小時。1982～1985年，蘭博基尼Countach LP500S共生產了323輛，底盤編號為ZA9C00500 CLA12.472～ZA9C00500 CLA12.795。
