簡要說明	沃爾沃公布DRIVe的新車，通過各方面的改進以提高燃油經濟性及降低有害物的排放量，該車在巴黎車展上已經亮相，而國內也在日益重視對環境的保護，汽車環保標準也不斷提升，因此未來DRIVe版沃爾沃進口車必然會被引入。沃爾沃采取了六大策略以完成這項不可思議的極限計劃，首先是改善空氣動力學，包括改進隔柵、優化前輪拱等方面來減少風阻。同時為改進與地面接觸的摩擦阻力，采用了特殊設計的米其林輪胎，同時改進齒比以降低動力傳遞的損耗，同時還有改進傳動系統。 DRIVe的S40與V50車型搭載的都是1.6升渦輪增壓柴油發動機，百公里油耗僅為4.5L，它實現了油耗和排放的完美進化，時也降低了有害物質的排放量。
