簡要說明	在三月的日內瓦車展上，寶馬將會推出M系列的性能車型，寶馬X6 M50d就是之一。這一系列的M Power車型推出，一方面是要跟Audi S系列的同級對手做抗衡，另一方面也是要提升M Power的勢力范圍，避免被對手完整的性能產品線所吞噬了。這具渦輪增壓柴油發動機，主要是由兩個小渦輪、及一個大渦輪所組成，以備應付不同速域下的動力需求、以及降低渦輪遲滯的現象。而有趣的是，他們還在車室內裝了一個引擎聲浪模擬系統，可以讓駕駛隨時都能清楚地辨別引擎的轉速，還有不同負載時、引擎所發出的聲音；以備做為駕駛時的參考依據。該車搭載寶馬的3升渦輪增壓直6柴油發動機，最大功率輸出為381馬力，百公里時速加速時間在5.3秒，配備8擋自動變速箱，采用全時四驅驅動系統，最大車速可達250公里/小時，百公里油耗為7.7升，二氧化碳的排放符合歐5的標準，為每公里204克。售價為85800歐元起。
