簡要說明	法拉利458 GT2是法拉利在推出458 Italia和賽車458 Challenge之后，再度帶來了的參加2011年GT2 賽事的車型。這款賽車在跑車基礎上進行了大量調校并且在賽道上進行了實地測試。自從退出GT1賽事之后，法拉利將主要精力放在F1和GT3的賽場上，此次推出的458 GT2再度拾起了當年法拉利360 GTC的使命。外觀上，458 GT2已經與458 Italia發生了很大的不同，空氣動力套件已經經過全新設計，前蓋上開設了進氣孔，車燈改變成黃色。車身側面增加了通風孔，類似于經典的70年代法拉利GT賽車。此外，后視鏡和尾翼也專門進行了新的設計與開發，力求空氣動力性能更加出色。據賽事規定，法拉利458 GT2僅采用了4.5升V8發動機，最高功率輸出也被限制在470馬力，比標準的458 Italia降低了約100馬力。不過配備6擋自動變速箱的458 GT2仍能通過撥片進行換擋操作。至于質量方面，賽事要求參賽車輛至少為1245公斤，即便用這個值來衡量，458 GT2至少得比普通車型增加27公斤。
