梅賽德斯-奔馳在2011年秋季推出了SLK250 CDI柴油敞篷跑車，新車曾在法蘭克福車展上亮相。SLK250 CDI最大的特點就是采用了一款2.1升4缸柴油發動機，最大功率204馬力，最大扭矩達到500牛米，在柴油機大扭矩的助力下，這款車的百公里時速加速時間只需6.7秒，從80公里/小時加速至120公里/小時的加速時間也只需要4.3秒，極速可達到243公里/小時，而百公里油耗僅為4.9升。這款發動機最難得的是它的運轉平順，采用的是奔馳的第四代共軌直噴技術，并配有啟/停技術。傳動方面，這款車搭載的是7G-TRONIC PLUS自動變速箱，另外奔馳在2012年的第二季度預計還將推出6擋手動變速箱版本車型。柴油版SLK和汽油版的SLK在其他方面沒有太大差別，其調校和設計也基本相同。

另外奔馳官方還表示，SLK250 CDI可以選擇3種車頂，其一就是魔術車頂，另外懸掛也有3種可供選擇。這款車在國外的售價為41828.5歐元，約合人民幣35.66萬元。
