簡要說明	保時捷鷗翼車門賽道傳奇906車型，即保時捷906 Carrera 6 在1966年下線，這款采用歐翼式車門設計的傳奇車輛，它的誕生緣于與法拉利的較量。為了與法拉利競爭，費迪南德•皮耶希先是將一輛雙門跑車改裝為敞篷車，失敗之后，又提出了一個新的設計——管式車架Spyer跑車成為保時捷未來幾代賽車車型的基礎。保時捷906 Carrera 6車型將皮耶希信奉的自重輕、低牽引和大功率的概念集于一身，這三個概念后來被引入奧迪和大眾的量產車型上。906 Carrera 6自重560公斤，皮耶希通過風洞改進了車身，球形風擋玻璃為后來推出的閉合車頂賽車打下了基礎，另外還有鷗翼車門，這些元素在之后的保時捷賽車設計中仍被長時間采用。保時捷906 Carrera 6與904s一起，完成了從老式轎跑車和敞篷車到所向披靡的917 S和956/962 S的傳承，確立了保時捷在跑車領域的霸主地位。鷗翼車門賽道傳奇車型，完成了一次賽道完美的領航。
