卡特漢姆R600 Superlight 堪稱卡特漢姆 7系列有史以來最快的賽車。在此之前的紀念，卡特漢姆曾推出一款Superlight R500，這款車的市場反應非常好，卡特漢姆于是借著口碑推出了R600。

相比之前推出的跑車，卡特漢姆Superlight R600最重要的改變在于動力部分，雖然同樣是以福特的2.0升 Duratec發動機為基礎，但在加上機械增壓系統之后，最大輸出功率達到了275馬力，而峰值扭矩更是較Superlight R500提升了13%之多，達到280牛米的水平。與發動機相匹配的是6擋序列式變速箱。值得一提的是，Superlight R600不但是卡特漢姆7系列當中的速度王者，同時也是7系列當中第一款采用強制進氣技術的車款。

為了能夠在提升車速的同時維持車輛的穩定性，Superlight R600還標配了Titan限滑差速器、Avon光頭賽車胎以及雨胎。而最讓用戶欣喜的是，卡特漢姆跑車幾百公斤的重量使其擁有出色的功率重量比，Superlight R600相比以往的車型在此方面又有進一步的提升。

卡特漢姆Superlight R600在國外的建議售價為44995英鎊。
