簡要說明	PCC，即Performance Concept Car，可譯為高性能概念車，亮相于2000年巴黎車展。它是當時全新沃爾沃S60的頂級運動版本，也是1995年沃爾沃850R的延續。 PCC擁有當時世界上最先進的動態控制底盤。電子控制四輪驅動系統以及300馬力的5缸發動機令它可以與當時著名的寶馬M3（E46）平起平坐。不過，PCC并不是量產車，它的工程與設計是為了測試一些全新的結構并為沃爾沃的賽車提供參考。沃爾沃的副主席即首席設計師Peter Horbury曾表示：“從設計的角度上看，我們希望為未來的沃爾沃運動轎車提供一個雛形。沃爾沃PCC用賽車一樣的外觀表現出極強的運動感。” 其實，PCC本身并不是一款全新的汽車，它只是S60的運動版。但從PCC上，我們可以看出十年前的沃爾沃有著怎樣的雄心壯志。遺憾的是，今天的沃爾沃在運動型轎車領域基本沒有什么建樹，根本無法和寶馬M、奔馳AMG等頂級運動轎車對話。
